Veer Kanungo Bodani
Founder
My Story
My name is Veer Kanungo Bodani, and I am the founder of The Gateway Community and Sibling Support Group. I was born in New York, where I grew up seeing my mother and father work tirelessly to provide for my brother and me. I recognised my brother's uniqueness at a young age, and our time in America provided me with a clear disparity in opportunity between India and America. We came to Mumbai when I was two years old; there was no assistance for my brother here, and I was able to see how many like him were also overlooked and ostracized. My mother started The Gateway School of Mumbai to provide opportunities for my brother and other individuals like him.I am thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to the siblings of individuals with disabilities, assisting them in better understanding themselves and their specific circumstances, and assisting them in creating a healthier life for themselves and those around them.
